Amnesia a machine for pigs review!

Developed by Chinese room and produced and published by Frictional games.

The game is set in London on New Year’s Eve 1899.
The main story character, the one you will be playing is Oswald mandus.
He is a wealthy industrialist and butcher.
After a trip to Mexico he returned whit fever, he has frequent dreams about a dark machine until he regains consciousness.
When he wakes up and recover from he’s illness (is when the game starts)
He hears the voices of his twin children, Edwin and Enoch calling for him.
They have been trapped far below them.
He’s wife died at child birth, Mandus was always busy whit he’s work but he did promise her that he would look after their children.
You will find and hear stories that take part in the past and the present.
He receives a phone call from an engineer; telling mandus that he’s children has been trapped far below, where the machines are.
The machines far bellowed are flooded whit water, so to save them he needs to fix the machine.
He can’t remember anything before awakening.
He doesn’t remember what the machine was for, or the purpose, but on the journey he encounters man pigs.
When he does fix the machine he finally understands the purpose of it, he created man pigs because he wanted the humans to look like they did in the inside, like vines.
He thought that the world was made of filth and that the humans were just as filthy so he captured people to make them in to a filthy creature.
The first victims were he’s children.

My opinion

I didn’t know until a bit further in the game that it was a different developer.
I am not surprise and not chocked.
I didn’t have high expectations from the beginning because a follower doesn’t always rise to once expectations.
I am a huge fan of amnesia the dark decent, because of the jump scears the dark and creepy environment.
Machine for pigs had a creepy environment, the story isn't better than the first one , it doesn’t capture you in the game. You have to read it somewhere to understand it better.
The pigs aren’t scary at al… they are just ridiculous. The game isn’t scary at al.
Not that much jump scears, and almost nothing scary at all, just sometimes.
The environment is cool and dark, and I like the paranormal feel.
The machine rooms and the engines looks good.
The character on the second hand is just a character, you don’t feel or understand him, you will feel that you don’t know much about him, and the notes and journals doesn’t help that much.
I continued to play the game because I liked the environment and the paranormal whit the children, it was exiting in a way.

But if you’re looking for a scary game don’t play this one, if you’re looking for an existing game the try it.

I a fan of amnesia, but the first one stand strong, but I do not regret playing the second one.

I just think this game doesent deserve to be called amnesia because its nothing like it.

And i do not think it was s smart move to put a pig on a cross.
you might have problems or opinions about religion, but it doesent mean you should make a game about it.

I hope frictional games makes it right someday and continue to develope the amnesia games, because they are smarter when it comes to making good stories.

I have videos off this game on my youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/cleopatra88ZaiNEW Check it out if interested!
